Great for brisket, BBQ chicken & ribs and pulled chicken & pork.
What you need:
1 cup ketchup
⅔ cup brown sugar
½ cup Old Tomorrow Track 85 Lagered Ale
½ cup cola
⅓ cup blackstrap molasses
6 oz. tomato paste
3 tablespoons yellow mustard
3 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon garlicpowder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon cayenne
2 tablespoons sesame oil
Stir all ingredients together in a medium pot.
Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
Cool sauce and use immediately, or place in jars and refrigerate for up to 3 months.
Sauce can be used for basting, BBQ’uing and as a dipping sauce.
